We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Management Director to join our team at Visa. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for protecting our company from settlement losses by identifying and mitigating risk issues.
Key Responsibilities- Credit Analysis and Risk Assessment: Perform annual and interim credit analysis on existing clients and review new license applications to ensure that our company's credit settlement risk requirements are met.
- Contract Management: Manage contracts related to trust structures, such as fiduciary agreements, escrow accounts, and processor agreements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to develop strategies that support business growth while addressing risk concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Respond to ad hoc queries and analytics requirements to support the complex Brazilian regulatory framework.
- Exposure Monitoring: Monitor client settlement exposures and portfolio performance, addressing collateral shortfalls promptly.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner with business and functional teams to engage effectively with government stakeholders, foster sound conditions to operate, and maintain compliance with credit settlement risk requirements.
- Default Management: Anticipate client defaults and manage client defaults in a manner that minimizes risk exposure to our company.
- Risk Mitigation: Ensure that credit settlement risk issues are adequately identified and mitigated for all Visa products.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
- 12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.
- Able to demonstrate understanding in credit analysis and ability to develop processes and controls to provide management assurance of risk mitigating controls.
- Ability to clearly articulate results after analyzing large scales of data to senior management as the basis for making key credit decisions.
- Fluent, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear and concise recommendations to senior management, clients, industry stakeholders, and regulators.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment with a high degree of accuracy and detail.
- Ability and willingness to take initiative on new projects and work well in a team environment.
