Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics and Predictive Science Lead to spearhead our data-driven product development initiatives in Brazil. The successful candidate will lead the Brazilian Data Analytics & Predictive Science team, collaborating with regional counterparts to drive strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to develop and optimize crop protection product candidates using advanced data analytics and predictive modelling techniques.
  • Collaborate with global Product Biology teams to champion digital transformation initiatives, fostering connections between R&D and Digital departments.
  • Work closely with Product Biology managers and domain experts to identify opportunities for model adoption, driving value for the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation in statistics and predictive modelling, along with experience in developing models relevant to biological or crop protection outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities, are essential for success in this role.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree in statistics and predictive modelling or natural science PhD.
  • Proficiency in data-science, analytics, and modelling tooling (e.g., Python, R, Matlab).
  • Scientific domain knowledge in agronomy, biology, chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience in model validation, machine learning techniques, and extracting insights from data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicating complex concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
