About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Game Engineer to join our Live Games Tech Team in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our largest live games, played by millions of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the overall software architecture of new game projects and features.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate engineering projects and make technical decisions.
  • Develop and maintain metagame business logic on game apps and services, including API development.
  • Estimate engineering-related tasks, plan roadmaps, releases, and sprints for the team.
  • Provide timely transparency of development status and risks to interested parties.
  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to processes and systems.
  • Partner with team members to solve complex technical issues and coach junior engineers to achieve technical excellence.
  • Identify and propose solutions to inefficiencies in the current engineering way of working.
  • Establish and maintain a strong engineering culture, including code review, pair programming, and automated testing.
  • Ship new versions to production, monitor metrics, and user feedback after release.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in handling large-scale systems with several million users.
  • Plus: experience in the gaming industry, preferably in mobile gaming.
