About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Fullstack Developer to join our team at Scout. As a key member of our development squad, you'll be responsible for designing and developing new features for our SaaS products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features from scratch, both on the frontend and backend
- Independently develop new features that enhance user experience and increase product functionality
- Stepping into the role of technical lead within your squad, driving excellence and setting standards
- Improve the code base with refactoring, bug fixes, and optimization
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Help the customer support team on technical issues, providing prompt and effective solutions
- Facilitating knowledge sharing and capacity building by training fellow developers, enhancing overall team competency and productivity
Key Results
- Within 3 months, you will have successfully onboarded and integrated into the team, developed a deep understanding of our B2B SaaS products and their technical requirements, and contributed to the development of new features and improvements to our existing code base
- Within 12 months, you will have played a key role in the development and delivery of multiple successful projects and made significant contributions to the optimization and scalability of our software products

Requirements
- Must have experience building automation safely for users with a cloud-based IP system
- Expertise in Typescript/Javascript with at least 8 years of experience
- Proven track record in building and maintaining web applications
- Robust understanding of MongoDB and Postgres
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects
- Fast learner
- Comfortable with agile methodologies
- Effective communicator
- Adaptable and willing to learn new things
- Ability to work on front-end integration, back-end development, MongoDB optimization, customer support, and more
- Fluency in English and ability to work at least 5 hours of your day overlapping with EST or PST timezones
Nice to Have
- Comfortable with Docker containers, working on remote servers through SSH, AWS
- First experience in B2B SaaS startup
- Self-taught, with a history of developing personal projects since childhood or in the evenings and weekends
