This role involves working closely with the SENCo and Learning Support Team to manage all administrative tasks related to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining high-quality records for all pupils with SEND.
- Developing and managing a system for creating and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Supporting and coordinating 'Team Around the Child' meetings.
- Producing accurate minutes for all meetings concerning pupils with SEND.
- Organising an efficient filing system for all SEND-related documentation.
- Liaising with feeder schools and external agencies to ensure that all relevant SEND information is received and shared appropriately.
- Communicating on behalf of the SENCo with parents and external professionals regarding pupils with SEND.
- Supporting the SENCo in the assessment process for pupils with SEND.
- Assisting the SENCo and Learning Support Team in managing data related to pupils with SEND.
- Managing access arrangements for internal and external examinations.
- Providing support during exams as required.
- Timetabling Learning Support teachers and assistants effectively.
- Responding to queries from parents and external professionals in a timely manner.
- Performing general administrative tasks including photocopying, printing, display management, event planning, and coordination.
