Job Title: Parts Engineer

As a Parts Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful development and launch of vehicle parts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement part certification strategies.
    - Work closely with product engineers, suppliers, and regulatory experts to guarantee compliance with global regulations and standards.
    - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including part certifications, test plans, and audit reports.

• Providing direction on parts marking and labeling requirements, including South America service parts certification and compliance.
    - Collaborate with suppliers, product engineers, and service engineers to ensure accurate data maintenance in GM systems, regulatory analysis, and review.
    - Author declaration letters and acquire required reports and documentation for substance content and labeling review.

• Coordinating with stakeholders to implement Substances of Concern (SoC) initiatives, including declaring or preventing substances within the service part that could cause harm to people or the environment.
    - Support global substances elimination projects by analyzing parts, reviewing supplier reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance.

• Developing and maintaining knowledge of automotive systems, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to stay up-to-date with the latest developments.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field preferred.
    - Intermediate English skills (writing, reading, and speaking).
    - Strong ability in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
    - Occasional travel may be required.

• Demonstrated ability with releases and maintaining of service parts in GM CCA's ERAPA system.
    - Production Part Release Engineering Knowledge.
    - Aftersales business experience.

• Accountable for results, able to plan, prioritize, problem-solve, negotiate, innovate, and manage costs effectively.
    - Excellent customer focus with quick turnaround on solutions and resolutions.
