Capital Investment Senior Manager

The Capital Investment Senior Manager will lead and oversee the evaluation, analysis, and decision-making processes for capital investments, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and maximizing returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capital investment strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals and financial objectives.
  • Lead the evaluation of potential capital investment opportunities, including financial feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ROI analysis.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to assess the financial viability and potential returns of capital investment projects.
  • Prepare detailed investment proposals, business cases, and presentations for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Execute and continuously review and optimize CAPEX approval workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop annual capital budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market research and evaluation of regulatory and environmental factors.
  • Monitor the performance of capital investments post-implementation and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Regularly report on the performance of the capital investment portfolio, including returns, risks, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Finance) or professional certification (CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in capital investment analysis, project evaluation, and financial modeling.
  • Previous experience in the mining industry or a related sector with exposure to capital-intensive projects is highly beneficial.
