Job Title: Financial Analyst Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Assistant to join our team at Greif. As a Financial Analyst Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute financial reports, including production, accounting, and administrative reports.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain financial database information, entering data, compiling information, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintain filing systems and bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable activities, generating customer invoices and credits, and applying cash to customer accounts.
  • Support other plant support functions, including customer service, order entry, proofreading orders, shipping, receiving, inventory, ordering supplies, and receiving visitors.
  • Identify and analyze the root cause of customer short payments, coding these into the system for tracking and following established procedures.
  • Research and apply unallocated receipts, working with the credit department to resolve these items.
  • Process check requests, direct debit, trade notes, payment differences, write-offs, and offsets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Enter bank corrections into the system, process miscellaneous corrections, and coordinate these activities with the accounting area.
  • Provide support to the Credit Department on issues relating to application of payments.
  • Ensure cash batches are in balance before they're finalized.

Requirements:

  • Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
