The Impact You'll Make in this Role

This role promotes the health, safety, and well-being of employees through onsite programs, health education, and direct care services.

  • Injury & Illness Care: Assess and treat employee illnesses or injuries, provide first aid support, train emergency response teams, and develop clinical protocols.
  • Work Capacity & Return-to-Work: Manage incident reporting, maintain medical confidentiality, assist with workplace accommodations, and coordinate with HR, supervisors, and healthcare providers for employee recovery and reintegration.
  • Occupational Health Protection: Implement medical surveillance programs, ensure testing and follow-up, and contribute to safety and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Employee Wellness & Education: Deliver health education, wellness programs, preventive care, and mental health referrals, collaborating with healthcare professionals and employee assistance programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current active licensure is required.
  • Knowledge in using and maintaining medical equipment for clinical testing or screening as approved by Corporate Occupational Medicine.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Current clinical skills are required including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. If available, certification in occupational health is preferred.
  • Coordinating, influencing, and short-term planning and strategic planning skills in regard to programs and priorities.
  • Gain ability to plan, implement and evaluate health related programs.
  • Position may be individual contributor, or in a multi-nurse or larger plant, provide supervision of other Occ Health Nurses (OHNs) or allied health professionals or administrators.
  • Knowledge and experience with local, state, and country regulatory and legislative requirements are needed, as is knowledge of company values and policies.
