We are seeking an experienced Python developer to join our team. This is a mid-senior level engineering position that involves working with system architecture, building robust components, and maintaining integrations across various platforms.

Job Description

This role involves contributing to the development cycle from initial problem analysis to development, testing, monitoring, and deployment in production environments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex projects and make significant contributions to the company's success.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable software systems
  • Maintain and improve existing codebases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Solid experience in Python development
  • Familiarity with the Python development stack (PyPI, virtualenv, pip, application and web servers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud utilities and services (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, etc.)
  • A systems-thinking approach to problem-solving and strong self-management skills
  • Experience with major Python frameworks (Django, Flask)
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git
  • Understanding of networking protocols, especially HTTP
  • Familiarity with API models such as REST and GraphQL
  • Experience with Unix environments, package management, troubleshooting, and file systems
  • Knowledge of containers and related concepts (Docker, Compose, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of software development best practices and architectural patterns
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Knowledge of message queue systems (RabbitMQ, etc.)
Desirable Qualifications

The following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Experience with end-to-end integration testing (e.g., Behave)
