Lead Legal Professional

The ideal candidate will oversee legal matters, provide strategic advice, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all legal matters, including international corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management to support business decisions and minimize legal risks
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the lifecycle of agreements, including drafting, reviewing, renewing, and terminating contracts
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local laws, as well as industry-specific regulations
- Manage disputes, litigation, and relationships with external counsel when required
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to optimize legal processes and improve operational efficiency
- Oversee legal risk assessments and provide proactive solutions to mitigate potential issues
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment between legal objectives and business strategies
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise on potential impacts to the business
Requirements:
- License to practice law (OAB) active or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in legal leadership roles, preferably in technology, fintech, or related industries
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- International transaction and corporate experience
- Experience working with Boards of Directors and C-Level executives
- Spanish is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage complex legal projects and meet tight deadlines
