Key Role in Property Transformation

This strategic position offers the opportunity to lead and transform our property facultative business in Brazil, one of Latin America's most dynamic markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the P&C Facultative underwriting strategy for Brazil and South Cone markets;
  • Originate profitable business while maintaining underwriting quality and preserving portfolio value;
  • Design solutions tailored to client needs and promote innovation through new business solutions and products;
  • Implement initiatives for sales and underwriting to position Swiss Re in Brazilian & South Cone markets;
  • Oversee and steer the P&C Facultative portfolio in Brazil & South Cone;
  • Lead and empower local teams, promoting professional development;
  • Collaborate across business units and functions to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We seek a leader who promotes teamwork and cooperation, with experience in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting and excellent understanding of Brazilian and South Cone markets, products, and trends.

  • Proven track record of 7-10 years in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian insurance regulatory environment;
  • Successful sales leadership and dealmaking experience in originating new business;
  • Management skills in developing people and unlocking potential in others;
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, additional languages appreciated.

Nice-to-have skills include experience in Latin American markets beyond Brazil, innovative solutions, digital transformation, and global corporate environments.
