We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineering Manager to lead our team in optimizing Ubuntu for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks. This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role that requires resourcefulness, articulation, and the ability to deliver solutions across PC and IoT technologies.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing relationships with key technology partners, ensuring timely delivery on project milestones, and leading a distributed team to design and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server hardware platforms and software stacks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a distributed team to design and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server hardware platforms and software stacks">
  • Engage with partners to deliver an optimized, first-class Ubuntu experience on their platforms">
  • Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and feedback">
  • Oversee commercial engagements and support timely delivery of project milestones">
  • Maintain high standards of quality and reliability">
  • Coordinate with other teams for alignment on product architecture and roadmaps">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server hardware">
  • Skills in working directly with customers, resolving technical issues, and understanding business challenges">
  • Proven experience managing or leading software engineering teams">
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies">
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral">
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field">
