Career Opportunity: Climate Risk Senior Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of climate risk management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in framework design and implementation, strategic planning, project management, and regulatory projects.

  • Develop and implement a climate risk framework that aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate climate risk into core governance processes, including Material Risk Identification and Assessment, Risk Appetite, and ICAAP.
  • Review and challenge first-line deliverables, ensuring effective incorporation of climate risk factors into credit assessment, strategic planning, and recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with Independent Credit Risk and Market Risk teams to drive portfolio analysis capabilities.
  • Work with Operational Risk team to develop physical risk scenario analysis.
  • Enhance climate scenario analysis and stress testing capabilities with Risk Analytics.
  • Document outcomes and present developments and proposed changes to middle management.
  • Support climate risk disclosures.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of climate risk frameworks, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and financial products.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, organisational skills, and influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese required.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with high level of integrity and tenacious under pressure.
