We are seeking an experienced Financial Transaction Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of financial transactions while optimizing payment processes for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, risk management, and fraud detection. They will be able to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
The successful candidate will also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and flexibility to work based on business needs.
About the Role:
- Monitor and analyze payment transactions to identify potential fraudulent activity;
- Report on and analyze payment and fraud-related issues;
- Utilize fraud detection tools and techniques to identify suspicious patterns or behaviors and promptly investigate and escalate potential fraud incidents;
- Conduct risk assessments on payment transactions and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with fraudulent activity;
- Manage payment processing operations, including processing payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
- Investigate payment-related discrepancies, chargebacks, and disputes, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently;
- Communicate findings and recommendations to team leaders;
- Work closely with Customer Service teams to address payment-related issues and resolve customer inquiries promptly;
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to payments and fraud prevention, ensuring compliance;
- Monitor system and automation performance;
- Liaise with external payment service providers and financial institutions to optimize processes and mitigate risks;
- Collaborate with Technology teams to improve existing processes.
Key Skills:
- Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer principles;
- Good knowledge of sportsbook and casino products;
- Proven experience in payment processing or fraud detection, preferably in online gaming/betting;
- Excellent written and verbal English skills (minimum B2).
