Welding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Welding Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing, executing, and inspecting welding activities (oxyacetylene, MIG, and electrode) in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of locomotive components, equipment, and other products.

• Organize and prepare the work area according to the activity to be performed, following process instructions and safety protocols.
• Select the appropriate welding machine according to the activity to be performed, and perform necessary adjustments following safety, quality, and welding standards as needed.
• Prepare the product to be worked on, cleaning, sanding, and positioning it to ensure quality and compliance with the process.
• Perform oxyacetylene, MIG, and electrode welding activities in the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of locomotive components, equipment, and other products.
• Perform finishing and inspection of welded products, ensuring compliance with established standards and product quality.
• Support various manufacturing and maintenance areas by performing processes.
• Operate, when necessary, overhead cranes and bridge saws with remote control system via button, adapting the load volume to the equipment capacity to move loads along the production line.
• Control and verify the activities performed, identifying and informing the leader any deviations from production, problems with equipment and instruments, so that they can be corrected.
• Complete daily process control and quality reports, as well as production reporting, according to the Manufacturing area's established procedures.
• Comply with integrity and compliance directives, as well as safety standards and procedures established by the company.

• High school diploma with professional certification.
• Certifications in: MIG, Electrode, and Oxyacetylene welding.
