Category Marketing Coordinator

The Category Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and achieving organizational objectives through the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives.

This role involves creating and implementing innovative marketing strategies, leading cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, building category plans, and leveraging consumer insights to develop impactful campaigns.

The Category Marketing Coordinator collaborates closely with South America Beverage Industry Customers, Ball Senior Leadership, innovation, commercial teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with analytics team and customers to develop a deep understanding of beverage categories, customer needs, and consumer buying behavior in South America to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with commercial teams to build business cases based on consumer and customer value, technical feasibility, and P&L viability.
  • Lead cross-functional innovation teams through the stage-gate process and develop commercialization plans for new product launches.
  • Support the development of value propositions through communication of core competencies and internal initiatives.
  • Translate Ball value proposition into customized stories that grow existing and engage new customers.
  • Collaborate with communications team to connect commercial initiatives to media execution and partnerships.
  • Establish customer lifecycle management strategy to identify critical touchpoints along the customer journey.
  • Evaluate and execute tradeshow and trade media strategies.
  • Foster close working relationships with South America and EMEA marketing leads to establish global strategies and share best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers on growth strategies utilizing can innovations and activations.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of can packaging features to support commercial teams.
  • Communicate the sustainability advantages of cans through clear messaging.
Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree.
  • Advanced English or above.
  • Intermediate Spanish or above.
  • Experience with data systems like Nielsen, Mintel, or similar.
  • PowerPoint and storytelling skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Preferred experience in consumer packaged goods industry in brand marketing, sales, revenue growth management, insights, project management, or innovation.
  • Customer-facing experience.
