About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team. As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a key role in supporting the Python ecosystem and driving business growth through innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate with data analysts to implement tools that reduce dependency overhead.
  • Design and develop solutions to address challenges related to Python virtual environments.
  • Ensure timely security updates for unowned/under-owned Python libraries.
  • Maintain top 20 currently unowned python libraries.
  • Retire outdated Python libraries in favor of open-source alternatives.
  • Analyze data consistency and propose changes to improve performance and stability.
  • Produce high-quality code and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant experience with:
    • Python (ideally 5+ years).
    • REST API.
    • Data Structures.
    • Databases: MySQL, Postgres.
    • Unit testing.
    • Flask.
    • Deploying python code into containers (kubernetes/Docker).
    • CI/CD.

Nice to Have

  • Poetry.
  • Terraform.
  • Django.
  • ETL development experience: Airflow is a plus.
  • Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Team Management and direct client interaction experience.
  • Upper-Intermediate English.
