Transformation Leader

Our organisation is looking for a skilled Transformation Leader to join its team. In this role, you will play a key part in leading the strategic and transformation office for our division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and overseeing the strategic planning cycle, business intelligence, capital investment planning, transformational changes, and program management office. You will also participate in creating and implementing the region's strategy based on emerging trends, potential expansion opportunities, and business intelligence.

This role requires a strong collaboration, leadership, and influencing skillset, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills are also essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Built, coached, and managed an experienced strategic planning, transformation, and project management team
  • Managed external collaboration by building networks and ecosystems, nurturing strategic partnerships, and participating in global knowledge platforms
  • Participated in opportunities identification for business innovation
  • Led initiatives to identify, create, prototype, and validate ground-breaking ideas to help the company transform and grow
Strategic Planning
  • Set a cadence for regular strategic plans and goals updates and ensure integration, prioritization, and alignment between functions
  • Built the strategic plan, completed the end-to-end process by engaging with Finance, Commercial, Integrated Business Planning, and Operations leads, in addition to Engineering and various other corporate functions, ensuring Economic Value Added (EVA) growth
  • Collaborated with the leadership team and their direct reports to develop key annual objectives for the organization based on aforementioned strategy, and using Hoshin principle
  • Facilitated sub-region strategy process
  • Acted as spokesperson and supported communication of strategic initiatives internally and externally as required
IT
  • Executed on the Aerosol division IT Roadmap by leading and managing all required resources (internal, external, Corp IT group, GBS) to ensure Project achievement within the expected lead time and cost
  • Built/update the Roadmap as per business direction and urgencies
Transformation Agent
  • Challenged and transformed current ways of working (including organisation structure, process, systems) to improve business agility, effectiveness, and alignment
  • Lead Business Lean initiatives to develop an integrated management system of standard processes and best practices across all functions and locations within Ball Aerosol division
Business Intelligence
  • Partnered closely with Ball Enterprise Intelligence, as well as Aerosol commercial, supply chain, and operational team to understand competitive intelligence and consolidate market opportunities to provide strategic recommendations for growing Economic Value Added (EVA)
  • Ensured regular monitoring of business climate, trends in technology and development, government activity, and others on demand in areas of the company's current and anticipated product lines
Capital Investment Planning
  • Leads strategic planning for significant capital plans that add manufacturing capacity, grow our business, or introduces new innovations
  • Leads trials concerning new business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts
  • Coordinate/Lead key strategic projects (highly complex, strategic, or cross-functional) in different regions, ensured staffing and resources allocation to achieve expected project timeline and completion

Experience: Senior level Strategy roles at a regional (EU/EMEA) level within Commercial, Financial and/or Marketing functions.

Knowledge of strategy tools and methodologies.

Strong collaboration, leadership and influencing skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills and a high tolerance for ambiguity.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills across all levels and cultures.

Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.

Knowledge and understanding of factors that influence profitability and value in the organisation.

Demonstrated success in global projects or initiatives.

Experience in leading, initiating and accelerating change.

Fluency in written and spoken English.
