
Senior Commercial Insurance Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a seasoned insurance professional to manage and grow our commercial lines account portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Built and maintained strong relationships with clients through exceptional customer service, resolving policy or underwriting issues promptly.
- Maintained effective communication and collaboration with carriers on assigned accounts, ensuring seamless policy renewals.
- Overseen the full renewal process, including applications, pricing, proposals, and binders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Proactively sought new business opportunities and referrals to expand the book of business, leveraging industry connections and expertise.
- Managed daily account tasks such as policy changes, invoicing, certificates, and coverage questions, prioritizing client needs and concerns.
- Been available after hours to support client needs via phone or email, providing responsive and reliable service.
- Reviewed contracts and certificate requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Kept client records updated in the agency database, maintaining accurate and detailed information.
- Documented all client communications and information shared, fostering transparency and trust.
- Met with clients individually as needed, delegating remarketing tasks when appropriate and driving business growth.
Licenses And Certifications:
- CIC or CPCU designation or actively pursuing designation preferred, demonstrating commitment to professional development and industry knowledge.
Skills & Experience To Be Successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred or minimum of two years' experience in the insurance industry, emphasizing relevant education and experience.
- Regular continuing education focused on coverage issues relevant to current position, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and act as a back-up when needed, showcasing adaptability and teamwork skills.
- Professional appearance, displaying a positive and approachable demeanor.
- Display leadership qualities and characteristics, inspiring confidence and trust in clients and colleagues alike.
- Skilled and knowledgeable of Word and Excel, utilizing technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Ability and willingness to learn the agency management system, embracing new technologies and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Self-starter with organizational skills and ability to work with details, driving results and achieving goals.
- Good written and oral communication skills, effectively conveying ideas and information to diverse audiences.
