Quality Assurance Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the establishment of a new test center of excellence in Porto Alegre.

This role will involve leading, managing, and mentoring a team of Test Leads and Testers as they integrate into pre-existing development teams.

  • Develop a studio strategy to improve testing initiatives in the new office, encompassing staffing, technical requirements, product space, and involvement throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other QA managers and directors across various Epic products to identify areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in existing quality approaches and provide recommendations for new ones.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and managing a team of QA professionals.
  2. Developing and implementing testing strategies.
  3. Ensuring high-quality bug tracking and execution.
  4. Collaborating with other departments and disciplines to set quality standards.
  5. Defining and using key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform testing priorities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of QA experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management level.
  • Experience building or rebuilding large-scale testing efforts autonomously and at scale.
  • Strong leadership skills, including mentorship, planning technical roadmaps, and prioritization.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex tech stacks and find solutions that complement existing investments.
  • Expert-level understanding of KPIs and metrics that inform quality.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Proven ability to take ownership over large-scale process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills at the individual and team level.
