Senior 3D Frontend Architect

We're seeking a Senior 3D Frontend Architect to join our team and help us build the next generation of 3D configurators. As a technical lead, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining our rendering setup in Next.js and Three.js, writing custom shaders based on math and physics, and building complex parametric configurators from scratch.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of developers and make a significant impact on our product's architecture. You will have the freedom to translate the founder's vision into technical execution and make decisions that drive the direction of the project.

In this role, you will own the frontend 3D architecture and work closely with engineers who are strong executors. Your expertise in Three.js and WebGL will be crucial in shaping the future of our product. If you're passionate about creating immersive experiences and have a deep understanding of parametric systems and spatial data structures, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain rendering setup in Next.js and Three.js
  • Write custom shaders based on math and physics
  • Build complex parametric configurators from scratch
  • Create internal libraries and systems for other developers to build upon
  • Integrate third-party tools and APIs

Requirements:

  • At least seven years of experience in frontend or 3D development
  • Three years in a technical lead or principal role
  • Deep expertise with Three.js and WebGL
  • Ability to write clean and scalable TypeScript code
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Graphics, or Mathematics

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Unity or Unreal
  • Familiarity with WebGPU, OpenJL, or GLSL
