Job Overview

The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in the performance of VAB by driving its alignment with business strategy and contributing to VINCI Airports' IT vision. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the information system, optimizing IT costs, ensuring environmental sustainability, fostering quality relationships with internal partners, managing IT finances, defining a "make or buy" policy, coordinating internal communications, supervising relationships with external service providers, and guaranteeing IT security.

  • Develops and implements VAB's strategic direction for the IT system.
  • Monitors all IT Systems Department activity to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains high-quality customer-supplier relationships to drive success.
  • Prepares, proposes, and follows the IT budget (CapEx and OpEx) for all airports, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Negotiates, manages, and monitors sub-contracting agreements and their implementation to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manages and mediates inter-disciplinary projects involving participants in different locations to promote collaboration and productivity.
  • Ensures necessary means are in place to implement Cybersecurity and Continuity of Service measures, safeguarding the organization's digital assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing teams, preferably in multiple locations, is required.
  • Strong experience in IT project management, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Good customer service skills and team orientation are necessary to drive success.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and judgment to make informed decisions.

  • Brazilian/Portuguese: Mandatory
  • English: Mandatory

Location

The IT Manager should be based in Sao Goncalo or optionally in MAO, but requires traveling to all current and future VINCI Airports Brazil Airports to ensure effective support and collaboration.
