Job Description

We are seeking a Claims Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling liability and property claims within designated authority, ensuring compliance with applicable state insurance laws and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating and adjudicating claims within designated authority
  • Verifying coverage, establishing and maintaining reserves, securing recorded statements, drafting and processing correspondence, reports and records
  • Evaluating and negotiating claims, recognizing subrogation opportunities, and initiating action

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of related claims handling or customer service experience, or equivalent educational experience required
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
  • Successful completion of Introduction to Insurance (INTRO) and Introduction to Claims (AIC 30) preferred
