We are a global technology consulting firm, CI&T, and we are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architect to lead major data architecture projects. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working as a senior technical leader on data platform programs, including building or migrating large data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Project Management: Lead major data architecture projects, ensuring alignment with company culture and values.
  2. Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor team members, promoting continuous learning and inclusive leadership.
  3. Strategic Decision-Making: Make critical decisions regarding data architecture based on project requirements and strategic objectives.
  4. Agile Methodology: Guide the team in using agile methods to efficiently complete projects.
  5. System Alignment & Client Satisfaction: Ensure data systems align with business needs and client satisfaction.
  6. Trust & Work Environment: Build trust and promote an emotionally healthy and safe work environment.
  7. Financial & Operational Excellence: Balance team competencies, seniority, and succession plans.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a senior technical leader on data platform programs, including building or migrating large data platforms.
  2. Expertise with one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
  3. Strong understanding of DataOps principles and practices.
  4. Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
  5. Proficiency in making strategic decisions about data architecture.
  6. Experience in implementing secure and efficient data lifecycle management solutions.
  7. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous learning within a team.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with AI applied to the data field.
  2. Strong project management skills with experience in agile methodologies.
  3. Proficiency in Spanish.
