About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer to join our team at Meta IT. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure automation processes using modern DevOps practices and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to drive efficiency, scalability, and reliability across our technology stack.
  • Bring a strong technical knowledge and experience of the entire infrastructure stack to bear in support of both industry standard and in-house built applications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure automation processes using modern DevOps practices and tools.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and maintain and enhance existing platforms.
Requirements
  • Team player with excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and at least 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role focused on infrastructure automation and IaC.
  • Expertise in using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to manage cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Strong operating systems management skills, with a proven background in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration, Windows administration experience a plus.
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments on centralized storage (e.g. Nutanix, VMware vSphere).
  • Ability to work on-call (rotation with the team) or weekends as necessary.
