Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys and audits on vessels across various Brazilian ports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, regulations, and management directives.
  • Perform on-site assessments during dry-docking and operational phases.
  • Engage in significant vessel modifications, alterations, and technical evaluations for diverse vessel types.
  • Assist with additional classification activities as required.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of client information, processes, and documentation at all times.
  • Supervise team members when necessary, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks.
  • Promptly inform management of any information that could impact the organization's reputation or integrity.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach by promoting DNV and providing technical support tailored to client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering, with relevant experience in Maritime Engineering or as a Master Mariner.
  • Experience with a Classification Society or a minimum of 5 years in the Marine sector.
  • Formal qualification as an ISM/ISPS/MLC auditor is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with class and statutory survey responsibilities is beneficial.
  • Mandatory registration with the Brazilian Engineering Council (CREA).
  • Proficiency in both Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong orientation towards customer service and an understanding of client requirements.
  • Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours as necessary.
  • Openness to internal transfers, both nationally and internationally.
