This position will help the Center fulfill its mission by supporting the teaching and practice of historically informed investigative reporting at Howard University and HBCUs.
Job Responsibilities- Control office workflow and establish office procedures in support of the department
- Perform directives from leadership and prepare requests for authorizations, service requests, etc.
- Answer inquiries on general and technical matters and enter personnel and financial documents using software applications
- Supervise the scheduling of meetings and conferences for Center staff, coordinate logistics of Center events, and provide on-site guidance to Center visitors and guests
- Monitor inventory of supplies, create and manage office filing systems, and receive, open, and screen mail for the department
