Backend Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Software Developer to join our team and help build a robust knowledge graph management platform.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and other developers to deliver key enhancements and features in the product.
  • Design, code, test, and ensure quality assurance of complex product features.
  • Work closely with product managers, architects, UX designers, and QA engineers.
  • Help build PoCs and research possible technology choices.
  • Develop test plans and write unit tests wherever needed.
  • Participate in design sessions, define functional requirements, work with development teams, and conduct testing.
  • Contribute to full-stack development and participate in DevOps workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, Database, and Operating Systems.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and deploying software on large scales with production quality.
  • Hands-on experience in Java and proficiency in TypeScript, Semantic Web, and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues within own area of expertise.
  • Ability to enhance skills beyond core functional focus and support team members in resolving issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English language.
