We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Hotel team and contribute to the evolution of travel selling and booking technology. Our Hotel team plays a crucial role in driving 70% of the company's overall revenue.
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying sophisticated backend systems that power Hopper's award-winning user experience.
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and help us grow and mature our hotel stack.
What You'll Do:- Plan, investigate, or scope out upcoming projects that you own.
- Mentor other team members through pair programming or asynchronous communication.
- Write, review, and improve code.
- Stay up-to-date with new technical concepts, services, or GCP features that benefit our team.
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss ongoing projects and plan work for upcoming sprints.
- Experience in full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on backend skills.
- Proficiency in Scala or other JVM languages (like Java), with demonstrated experience in a production setting.
- A solid understanding of system architecture, focusing on designing scalable and maintainable solutions.
