Job Summary:

ProSidian Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Technical Editor to join our team. As a Technical Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing technical documents, manuals, and publications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit technical documents, manuals, and publications for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Ensure that documents comply with established style guides and industry standards
  • Collaborate with writers and subject matter experts to develop and revise technical content
  • Ensure that documents are well-organized and easily understandable for the intended audience
  • Verify the accuracy of technical information and data
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Use appropriate software tools to format and publish technical documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical editing or technical writing
  • Strong knowledge of grammar, style, and usage conventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience using technical editing tools and software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with technical fields, such as engineering or technology
  • Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external clients
