Key Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage relationships with government and key policymakers in a sub-region. This role involves leading the implementation of strategies to enhance relationships among executives and policymakers to promote future growth.

  • Develop strategic plans for key issues areas, considering competitive environments, customers, and global perspectives.
  • Interpret policy environments related to payments, financial inclusion, digital economy, and competition policy.
  • Represent the organization before executive branch agencies, legislative bodies, and regulatory authorities, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Work closely with consultants to develop and execute strategy.
  • Partner with constituents to determine relationship-building directions and avoid harmful actions.
  • Identify threats and opportunities, building alliances and coalitions with customers and third parties.
  • Manage multidimensional projects across business units and regions, partnering effectively with other departments.
Job Accountabilities
  • Lead work groups to evaluate public policy decisions and analyze proposals, providing updates to senior management.
  • Support the Legal Department in managing regulatory filings and developing responses.
Requirements and Skills
  • Extensive experience working in public policy, legislative, or government affairs positions, preferably in payments or financial services.
  • Strong judgment, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to function as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and ability to work well with business partners across regions.
