Job Summary

As an Application Security Engineer (ASE) at Bugcrowd, you will be responsible for curating and managing incoming security vulnerability submissions to some of the world's biggest companies' bug bounty programs. Your expertise will be essential in triaging and validating submissions, communicating with clients and researchers, and escalating high-severity bugs. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of security programs, from cars to IoT devices, and develop your skills in obscure and complex vulnerability types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and validate incoming security vulnerability submissions
  • Communicate with clients and researchers to gather additional information
  • Escalate high-severity bugs to clients
  • Develop and maintain expertise in OWASP Top Ten type vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the triage and validation process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or previous security consulting experience
  • Published and demonstrated passion for security assessment research
  • High proficiency with Burp Suite and industry-standard tools
  • Ability to execute on individual projects and contribute to the team
  • Strong organization, influencing, and communication skills
