Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Global Bank Team at SumUp Inc. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical vision and ensuring the quality of our banking features.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Testing: Generate and oversee comprehensive testing for the bank account transfers domain, ensuring seamless and error-free user experiences.
- Automation Framework Development: Develop and improve the automation test framework and scripts for the respective services, continuously improving efficiency and coverage.
- Client-Facing Application Testing: Conduct thorough testing of client-facing applications, including iOS and Android apps, Web Dashboard, and Bank Backoffice.
- Security and Load Testing: Develop and execute security and load-testing plans to guarantee the reliability and security of the banking features.
- Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Product Designer, providing valuable insights and ensuring alignment between quality assurance processes and product development goals.
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1 year focused on automation testing.
- Excellent grasp of test principles and strategies, reflecting a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in software testing.
- Proven experience writing automation tests and a good foundation in SQL, showcasing the ability to contribute to the efficiency of testing processes.
- Good command of at least one modern programming language (e.g. Kotlin, Java, Go) and experience in testing backend, frontend, and mobile components.
- Good understanding of how web, RESTful, event-driven applications work in a microservices environment.
- Experience in the fintech, payments, or banking industry.
- Experience with Ruby.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS.
