A Senior Hardware Discipline Engineer is responsible for providing specialized technical support and solutions for operations and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10 years of experience in electrical systems operations and maintenance. They must be able to understand and implement Most Effective Technology (MET), work process, preventive predictive maintenance plan, tools, and industry best practices within the electrical discipline.
Job Description:
The Senior Hardware Discipline Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all operations activities are performed in a safe and reliable way. They will also ensure that all electrical drawings are updated, available, and posted as needed. Additionally, they will serve as the leader of the electrical discipline in the plant and has accountability for electrical system results and for the implementation of and adherence to all relevant work processes and best practices.

- Coordinates activities/interfaces with other disciplines.
- Ensures deliverables meet the needs of the plant.
- Ensures electrical system reliability.
- Keeps PPM plan on tracking, analyzes report results, and implements correction items.
- Serves as site focal point with Brazilian Regulatory agencies (ANEEL, ONS, CHESF).
- Ensures operational electrical system excellence and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering – Power Systems.
- 10 years of experience in Electrical discipline (electrical systems operations and maintenance).
- Advanced English skills.
- Knowledge in electrical power and protection systems, including HV and MV substations (having knowledge of rectifiers would be a plus).
