International Tax Consultant

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the group's tax position in Latin America, monitoring changes in tax legislation and communicating with consultants in countries where the group operates.

The ideal candidate will have higher education in finance, economics, or law, and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in tax consulting or a tax department of an international company. They must also possess advanced knowledge of international taxation principles, including transfer pricing and international tax treaties.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Group's tax position in Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia etc.),
  • Monitor relevant changes in tax legislation impacting the Group's business in the region and assess their influence,
  • Communicate with consultants in countries where the Group operates,
  • Participate in tax structuring of international operations and tax risk management,
  • Develop the operational structure and assess tax risks associated with conducting business in foreign countries,
  • Establish processes for tax reporting and payment of taxes in countries where the Group operates,
  • Participate in tax structuring of international non-commercial/charity projects,
  • Implement procedures for issuing invoices and automatic exchange of fiscal data with local authorities,
  • Supervise development of tax accounting methodologies,
  • Analyze tax aspects of significant commercial, technical, and other projects in countries of presence,
  • Tax review of international operations, contracts, and policies,
  • Develop procedures to improve tax efficiency and risk management,
  • Supervise communications with tax authorities, form company positions, prepare responses, and analyze documentation.
Requirements:
  • Higher education in finance, economics, or law,
  • 5+ years of work experience in tax consulting/tax compliance or in a tax department of an international company (Big4 experience required),
  • Understanding of tax reporting principles in LatAm regions (focus on Mexico, Brazil, Chile, etc.),
  • Knowledge of international taxation principles and trends (transfer pricing, international tax treaties, EU directives, OECD initiatives, BEPS plan, Pillar 1&2),
  • Experience in international taxation (Latin America, US, Southeast Asia, India) is advantageous,
  • Management and analytical skills,
  • Proficient in English (Advanced level).
