Role Description

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. This includes preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports, as well as analyzing current costs, revenues, and financial commitments to predict future expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts.
  • Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide assistance to outside auditors, gathering necessary account information and documents for the annual audit.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, with the ability to explain the purpose behind job tasks and process flow.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related areas.
  • 2+ years' experience in industry accounting or finance roles.
  • CRC, or other finance or accounting certification is a plus, or strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS standards.
  • Ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Dynamics (D365) and the OneStream system is a plus.
  • Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking in English and Portuguese, as well as good organizational skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent ability to analyze data and circumstances and train others as needed.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlines.
