Working Hours: US Pacific Standard Time (PST)
Work Arrangement: Fully remote (available to candidates across LATAM)

Overview:
As a Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle, focusing on the creation of applications within a fully automated DevOps, Cloud, and Microservices environment. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design architecture, and implement scalable, open solutions utilizing Cloud Native technologies, including AWS services, Machine Learning techniques, GIT, Jenkins, Docker containerization, and Terraform. Your work will primarily involve Java and NodeJS technology stacks. You will coordinate and engage in requirements gathering, research scalable analytic techniques, team collaboration, software development, documentation, and technology roadmaps. The ideal candidate will possess not only coding skills but also the ability to identify and resolve issues related to scalability, security, and analytics. This role demands a profound technical understanding of software development best practices, coding standards, and governance.

Essential Skills: Core Java Spring Boot Multithreading AWS Key Responsibilities: Implement strategies, workflows, and systems for Media/Digital Asset Management (experience with Vidispine, Cantemo, and production asset management systems is advantageous). Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements. Collaborate within a development team to produce components for both new and existing applications. Provide basic support and debugging in testing and production environments. Maintain and enhance existing applications. Contribute significantly in an agile sprint team, executing sprints for new and existing applications. Identify and escalate issues as necessary. Develop applications capable of scaling in cloud environments such as GCP or AWS. Create high-traffic APIs and websites. Work effectively in a DevOps environment. Engage in a fully automated CI/CD environment. Design and develop secure, public-facing applications prioritizing performance and security. Hands-on experience with software design and development. Support a high-availability environment with 24/7 operations. Experience in building and deploying video players, transcoding, and streaming solutions is a plus. Qualifications: Strong problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in designing and developing large, scalable, and complex systems. Familiarity with Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes). Experience with Build and CI/CD technologies such as Maven and Jenkins. Develop and maintain high-quality applications using the Java technology stack and object-oriented methodologies. Collaborate within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies. Proficiency in Java 8/Java EE, core Spring framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, Linux, and application servers. Experience in building, maintaining, and debugging cloud-native production-grade applications on AWS using services like Containers, EC2, EBS, and S3. Solid understanding of RESTful Webservice design, NoSQL and SQL database design, and transaction management principles. Experience in web application development, including OWF, Servlets, Grails, Play, MVC, JSON, XHTML, HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, Angular, Vue, or ReactJS (ReactJS preferred). Experience with algorithm implementation. Familiarity with distributed message or stream processing frameworks in a cloud environment. Experience in Digital Media-based environments. Exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD) principles. Experience mentoring junior developers and utilizing peer programming techniques such as XP and Peer Programming. Adhere to departmental standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices. Availability to work flexible hours based on project requirements.
