Senior Supply Chain Manager Emerging Countries Network Planning

Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Manager, Emerging Countries Network Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our Emerging Countries Network Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating solutions to optimize multi-year network topology design and supply chain planning processes for new country expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on delivering new features, services, products, or systems that meet cost optimization and delivery experience maximization goals.
  • Contribute to mid to long-term network planning processes, tools, and features rollout and process standardization for new and emerging countries.
  • Define the best topology for emerging countries by leveraging optimization tool sets to find answers for critical strategic questions.
  • Gather requirements from business owners, write clear and detailed business requirements, prioritize features, and drive technical scoping as needed.
  • Partner with established markets teams to benchmark best practices and tools for implementation and adoption in new countries.
  • Create scalable mechanisms and best practices, actively work to remove bottlenecks.
  • Effectively influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Communicate and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively identify gaps/opportunities and decide when to make a case for single-threaded owners and other resourcing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Network Planning, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Network Planning, retail/e-commerce operations execution.
  • 5+ years of experience using MS Excel, SQL, or other related data analysis tools.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • 3+ years in a production, fulfillment, or planning environment.
  • 3+ years of experience and success at leading cross-functional programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Network Planning, or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Lean, network modeling, and Operational Excellence.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • The ability to use both formal and informal influencing skills across Amazon's cross-matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of how a fulfillment center and transportation network is designed and operated.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a multitude of platforms with remote team members, as well as stakeholders at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
