Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in Belo Horizonte. As a key member of our Minerals and Metals Business Line, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various industrial projects.

This is a challenging opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions and working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Validate engineering solutions to ensure compliance with national and international technical standards;
  • Act as a reference point for engineers and senior designers in critical decision-making;
  • Define scopes, guidelines, and standards for complete industrial plants;
  • Ensure multidisciplinary integration across projects;
  • Mentor and develop project team professionals;
  • Lead project technical reviews (Design Review);
  • Conduct feasibility, conceptual, and basic studies;
  • Prepare layouts for both greenfield and brownfield mining plants.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Mechanical Drafting/Design or related fields;
  • Strong experience in industrial projects within mining;
  • Proficiency in 3D projects and BIM methodology;
  • AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, and familiarity with SmartPlant are a plus;
  • Previous experience as a mechanical designer/drafter is desirable;
  • Experience in equipment sizing, simulation software (FEM), and mechanical calculations are considered strong assets;
  • Strong communication and ability to articulate ideas clearly;
  • Proficiency in design tools and software;
  • Solid knowledge of technical standards and applicable regulations.
