Healthcare Associate Role

This position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care and be part of a talented, diverse workforce in a nationally recognized healthcare organization.

The Healthcare Associate will function as part of the clinical team, providing vital support under the direction of licensed professionals.

Responsibilities will include administrative, clinical, and clerical duties, including taking patient histories, scheduling appointments, responding to communications, and rooming patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient and equipment for exams/procedures and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas.
  • Collect medical history and medication refill information according to established protocols.
  • Accurately collect and prepare lab specimens/lab requisitions and schedule referrals and/or procedures.
  • Recognize actual or potential patient risks and communicate those risks to licensed staff.
  • Adhere to workflows for clerical, clinical, and EMR operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and perform front office tasks such as greeting patients and handling payments.
  • Update missing patient demographics, obtain referrals, and pre-certifications as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in EMR, word processing, and Excel software applications.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
