We are seeking a highly skilled Data Cloud Engineer to optimize data product runtime architecture within our cloud-based environment. As a key member of our team, you will analyze Spark workloads, implement monitoring solutions, and collaborate with teams to enhance scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze Spark workloads to refine performance and optimize resource usage under close supervision.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for Spark applications, addressing basic performance issues and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support frameworks that enable elastic scaling of workloads, driving business growth through efficient data processing.
  • Document optimization techniques and contribute to workshops to share insights with peers, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Participate in automation initiatives, applying AI concepts to improve data processing tasks and drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of distributed computing principles and their applications in data processing, including expertise in Apache Spark architecture and operations.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and using DataFrames for data manipulation, as well as developing capability in troubleshooting and diagnosing runtime issues.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Spark's web UI and Grafana, with enthusiasm for learning AI and ML applications in data engineering tasks.
