Position Overview:

As a Project Transition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Transition Manager with various project management activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting in the execution of project management tasks.
  2. Coordinating project priorities across multiple tracks and driving project progress.
  3. Scheduling and facilitating client and internal meetings, including weekly status updates.
  4. Adhering to established standards for project reporting and documentation.
  5. Ensuring consistent communication and project standards within the team and with clients.
  6. Serving as the primary contact for all administrative tasks related to the assigned project.
  7. Utilizing Microsoft tools such as Teams, Project, and spreadsheets to monitor budgets, schedules, and other critical information.
  8. Establishing and managing processes for contract, financial, and scope management.
  9. Overseeing project progress to ensure timely achievement of goals.
  10. Creating and managing project deliverables, milestones, and necessary tasks according to the schedule.
  11. Coordinating responses to requests for changes from original specifications.
  12. Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal/external customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven project management expertise, with a strong ability to organize, plan, and manage large-scale projects.
  2. Capability to analyze project requirements and determine necessary resources.
  3. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including effective communication at an executive level.
  5. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks against critical timelines in a dynamic environment.
  6. Strong networking skills to identify issues and opportunities.
  7. Experience in analyzing business challenges and formulating future state recommendations.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Project, Visio, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
  9. Ability to set agendas and facilitate meetings, focusing on critical discussions and necessary decisions.
  10. Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  11. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  13. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  14. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  15. Experience working in virtual teams across distances, cultures, and time zones.
  16. Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
  17. A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in information technology and business.
  18. A Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with an IT focus.
  19. Project management certification such as PMP from PMI or equivalent is preferred.
  20. ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
