Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of technical engineers, promoting collaboration and professional growth while ensuring alignment with project objectives and organisational strategies.
  • Develop and maintain scalable, flexible cloud architectures using the full suite of tools Microsoft has to offer, working with the M365 architect to provide rounded solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between Unifi, third-party, and internal systems.
  • Implement automation of infrastructure and frequent tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Foster a DevOps culture that blurs the line between development and operations teams.
  • Utilise CI/CD practices to enable faster, more reliable solution releases.
  • Design systems that are adaptable to changing business needs, leveraging cloud services and microservices architecture.
  • Optimise resource usage to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee integration of security practices throughout the development lifecycle (DevSecOps), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive innovation by implementing cutting-edge technologies and aligning them with strategic business goals.
  • Align IT strategies with business objectives, focusing on long-term outcomes rather than day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support Microsoft-based solutions, contributing to knowledge base articles, user guides, and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimisation within the IT service support framework, enhancing overall efficiency and user satisfaction.

  • Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture.
  • Business Applications: Experience and awareness of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and related business applications.
  • Networking: Familiarity with Azure Networking and cloud-based infrastructure tools like Unifi or Meraki.
  • Integration Tools: Knowledge of integration platforms and middleware solutions.
  • Development Practices: Experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or similar, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
  • Monitoring and Performance: Experience with cloud monitoring tools and performance optimisation.
  • Security Protocols: Understanding of cloud security protocols and best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Extensive experience in managing and leading diverse teams of technical engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and driving successful project outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
