Software Development Consultant

Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Consultant to join our team.

This role involves designing, developing and maintaining web applications using .NET Framework / .NET Core and C# programming languages.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with ASP.NET MVC for web application development, solid understanding of React.js and modern JavaScript ES6+, advanced SQL Server skills including query optimization and database design.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain web applications using .NET Framework / .NET Core and C#
  • Build responsive user interfaces using MVC architecture and React components
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures and queries
  • Implement Entity Framework for data access layer and ORM functionality
  • Apply dependency injection principles and design patterns for scalable application architecture
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards across the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in insurance applications and systems
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology roadmap planning

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile work environment
  • Strong proficiency in .NET Framework / .NET Core and C# programming
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC for web application development
  • Solid understanding of React.js and modern JavaScript ES6+
  • Advanced SQL Server skills including query optimization and database design
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (Code First and Database First approaches)
  • Strong knowledge of dependency injection patterns and IoC containers
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design principles
