Job Summary

This role performs various maintenance activities, including mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical tasks on equipment to ensure safe operations while meeting production goals and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify problems by reading schematics and make necessary repairs to ensure safe operation of equipment or systems.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust or repair ancillary equipment like blow overs, bulb pullers, heaters, and changeovers.
  • Perform ink mixing and disposing of materials according to set safety guidelines for printing machines.
  • Perform oil changes and dispose of used oil per established procedures.
  • Rebuild or retrofit machine components as per specifications.
  • Install, replace, or decommission equipment.
  • Validate equipment as necessary and train new mechanics on machine repair and setup procedures.
  • Complete PMs on time and communicate job completion to the relevant authorities.
  • Source obsolete parts and make them stock items.
  • Locate parts in the stockroom using MP2 or other systems.
  • Participate in company programs such as CI, Safety initiatives, audits, and investigations.
  • Support projects and improvement initiatives from engineering, process, QA, safety, and operations groups.
  • Document tasks performed daily into the maintenance log before the end of the shift.
  • Maintain confidentiality of corporate information and adhere to good housekeeping practices.
  • Follow departmental guidelines and policies.
  • Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
