Job Title: Backend Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Wipro Technologies. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient cloud-based applications using Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud architecture for large-scale deployments
  • Implement strong coding methodologies, design patterns, and best practices
  • Collaborate with local and external teams to deliver technical documentation and prototypes
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and web frameworks like Spring, Ruby on Rails, and Tomcat
  • Work with relational and object databases like MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, and Cassandra
  • Experience with cloud dev ops, CI tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and code quality (SonarQube, Code Coverage, Unit tests)
  • Experience with source control revision tools - GIT (preferred), GitHub
  • Additional skills in AWS services (EKS, EB, EC2, AWS Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Cloud Formation), API gateways, and load balancing
  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration and maintenance, including bash scripts
  • Understanding of networking, DNS management, firewall policies, and queue systems (RabbitMQ, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Kafka)
  • Alerting and monitoring for cloud platforms with tools like Splunk, Prometheus, Cloudwatch, Kibana, and Grafana
  • Experience with large-scale global deployments in multiple regions and zones
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployments for microservices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Backend Software Engineering
  • Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby
  • Ability to communicate in English
