PostgreSQL Database Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our team.
- Design and implement efficient database schemas;
- Maintain and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and responsiveness;
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, and DevOps to streamline data flow and reliability;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues;
- Support data integration and migration efforts across environments;
- Contribute to establishing best practices and maintaining high coding standards for data integrity and reliability.
- Develop scalable and maintainable database systems;
- Implement effective indexing strategies and query optimization techniques;
- Ensure data integrity, backups, and replication strategies are in place;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support database change management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in database engineering;
- Proven track record of designing and optimizing complex relational database systems;
- Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning and query optimization;
- Experience with schema design for scalable systems;
- Solid understanding of data integrity, backups, and replication strategies;
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices in relation to database change management;
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with other database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB);
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS RDS or GCP Cloud SQL;
- Knowledge of data migration techniques;
- Experience supporting backend services written in Java or other modern backend stacks;
- Exposure to DevOps practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
