About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Trustly, a leading provider of Open Banking Payments solutions. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Java-based application stack, working closely with our Senior DevOps team to deploy upgrades and fixes into production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for our Java-based application stack, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with the Senior DevOps team to deploy upgrades and fixes into production environments, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistency.
  • Work with the security team to implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data.
  • Tune and secure Nginx rules to optimize performance and security.
  • Automate tasks to minimize downtime and improve consistency, using tools such as shell scripts and Python.
  • Identify and document opportunities for improving monitoring and system resource utilization, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, with a basic background in software architecture techniques and scripting languages such as shell script and/or Python.
  • Intermediate experience in Linux/Unix administration, with a strong understanding of system configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitHub and IaaS.
  • Knowledge of versioning, Continuous Integration, and traffic monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and OpenTofu.
