Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert project controls services to support the delivery of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Critical Path Schedule Ownership and Management: Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Schedule Reporting and Metrics: Prepare and track critical metrics, including progress curves, manpower histograms, and earned value analysis.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting: Prepare and maintain progress reports, including S-curves, percent complete, and earned value.
- Claim Management Support: Assist in assessing and documenting the impact of late deliverables, materials, and other factors on project timelines and budgets.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities, and work with the project team to develop and implement mitigating actions and strategies.
- Contract Requirement Management: Assist in producing, managing, and supervising contractual deliverables, including monthly reports and percent complete metrics.
- Project Deliverables: Assist in tracking and managing project deliverables, and support project audits as required.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering or Business field.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant working experience, including experience in large-scale projects and working with EPCs.
- Skills: Extensive knowledge of project controls concepts, practices, and procedures; solid understanding of Earned Value Management Techniques; sophisticated Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project experience; and advanced Excel skills, including Macros/Visual Basic, V-lookups, Pivot tables, and Sum if Formulas.
